Projects introduced by the Energy Efficiency Hub
The European projects introduced by the Energy Efficiency hub represent activities to achieve the goals of the European Green Deal, thus supporting companies and especially SMEs on their way to reduce their emissions and to become more innovative and competitive on the global market. The projects offer valuable services and tools for SMEs of different sectors. 99 per cent of European businesses are SMEs, making them central to Europe’s drive to innovate and become more sustainable.
Projects
EE4SME
The EnergyEfficiency4SMEs project aims at increasing the uptake of energy efficiency measures within SMEs. The project’s activities include capacity building by workshops, webinars and a knowledge platform on energy efficiency as well as technical assistance by energy audits and accompanying companies on their way to energy efficiency improvements. The project will focus on the sectors of Accommodation and Food services, Agri-food and Metalwork.
EE4HORECA
The EnergyEfficiency4HORECA project aims at increasing the uptake of energy efficiency measures and the use of renewable energy within the HORECA value chain (hotels, restaurants, catering) that is one of the energy intensive sectors. The project’s activities include capacity building by workshops, webinars and a knowledge platform on energy efficiency.
IMPAWATT
The Impawatt project aimed at supporting companies implementing energy efficiency improvement identified within energy audits by an energy efficiency knowledge and training platform for companies which is still online.
ICCEE
EcoSMEnergy
The EcoSMEnergy project aims at enhancing energy efficiency and sustainability in SMEs across key sectors, including chemical manufacturing (C20), pharmaceuticals (C21), rubber and plastic products (C22), metal products (C25), electronics (C26), electrical equipment (C27), machinery (C28), and automotive manufacturing (C29).
AUDIT PLUS
The AUDIT PLUS project, funded under the European research framework LIFE-CET-22, aims to help energy-intensive industries (EIIs) improve their energy efficiency through energy audit schemes, using case studies in Ireland, Spain and Poland.
DEESME 2050
The project DEESME 2050 builds on the developed DEESME multiple benefits approach to capacitate, assist and motivate companies to overcome the obstacles in energy efficiency measures uptake in the furniture sector and its value chain, mainly in Bulgaria, France, Italy and Poland.
KNOWnNEBS
In the project KNOWnNEBs, the non-energy benefits of the energy audit are currently to be demonstrated. For this purpose, interviews and surveys are conducted with audited companies, but the approaches will be also discussed with stakeholders.
EENOVA
The EENOVA project aims to tackle some of the main challenges related to the food chain and its high dependence on fossil fuel, by putting an in-depth focus on energy-smart solutions, by assessing and increasing the level of energy efficiency and renewable energy.
EnTRAINER
The EnTRAINER (Energy Transition Audits towards Decarbonization) project aims to introduce a paradigm shift from conventional energy audits to a new, holistic and complete methodology of “Energy Transition Audits” (ETA). With this new approach, the main focus is to provide a multi-benefit scheme and a complete action plan towards full decarbonization of the audited sites.
QualiTEE
The project QualiTEE aimed at driving investment in EE investments and services, by enhancing trust, transparency, for “quality” energy efficiency contracts. The project main deliverable consisted in “guidelines” setting up 9 criteria and minimum content to be met by energy efficiency contracts, in particulat Energy Performance Contracts (EnPc)
BETTED
The BETTED – Boosting Energy Transition of ThE Dairy value chain – project aims to facilitate companies (especially SMEs) belonging to supply chains in the dairy sector to foster the market uptake of energy efficiency measures including the use of renewables and the deployment of heat pumps at the value chain level.
